The Department of Cyber Security Science, Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT Minna) has received a valuable donation of equipment from MBR Computer Consultants Limited. This contribution was made to enhance the department’s teaching and learning capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, accepted the donation on behalf of the department on Wednesday, 24th July 2024, in his office. He praised the company’s generosity, emphasizing the positive impact these resources will have on the educational experience of the students.”These resources will significantly enhance our ability to educate and train our students with the latest technologies and practices in Cyber Security,” he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prof. Kuta also highlighted that the donation would enable the University to provide practical learning experiences, preparing students for successful careers in the field. He expressed his hope for a robust ongoing relationship with the company and gratitude for their support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The donation was presented by Dr. Olusanjo Olugbemi Fasola, the Managing Director\/CEO of MBR Computer Consultants Limited and a visiting lecturer in the department. Dr. Fasola underscored the critical importance of cyber security in today’s digital age, stressing the need for individuals, businesses, and governments to protect their digital assets from cyber threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The donated items include four workstations, two 75-inch televisions, one board display screen, and a mobile kit stand, all valued at a significant amount. The equipment has been handed over to the department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
