{"id":1286,"date":"2025-05-13T17:14:31","date_gmt":"2025-05-13T16:14:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.futminna.edu.ng\/?p=1286"},"modified":"2025-05-13T17:14:34","modified_gmt":"2025-05-13T16:14:34","slug":"futminna-hosts-tetfund-monitoring-and-evaluation-team-for-2021-nrf-grant-assessment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/news.futminna.edu.ng\/?p=1286","title":{"rendered":"FUTMINNA HOSTS TETFUND MONITORING AND EVALUATION TEAM FOR 2021 NRF GRANT ASSESSMENT"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By Lami Bawa<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA), Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, on Monday, May 12, 2025, welcomed the Monitoring and Evaluation Team from the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) to the University\u2019s Main Campus. The team\u2019s visit centered on assessing the implementation of the 2021 National Research Fund (NRF) grants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The courtesy meeting, held at the Academic Publishing Centre, featured remarks from the team lead, Professor Christopher Oluwakunmi Akinbile of the Federal University of Technology, Akure. He noted that the TETFund Executive Secretary has consistently commended Federal Universities of Technology for their strong performance in NRF related activities. According to Prof. Akinbile, the team\u2019s objective is to evaluate the progress made under the 2021 NRF grants and determine eligibility for the release of the second tranche of funding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his welcome address, Professor Kuta expressed appreciation for the visit, affirming that the university has put in place all necessary measures and documentation for a successful evaluation. He expressed confidence that the evaluators would be satisfied after interacting with the Principal Investigators (PIs) and reviewing the progress made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, the Director of the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Development, FUT, Minna, Prof. Chiemela E. Chinma briefed the Vice-Chancellor on the purpose of the visit.
