AIYESIMI PROPOSES MATHEMATICAL MODELING OF REAL LIFE PROBLEMS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aliyu Jidda Ibrahim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Real life problems can be transformed into mathematical concepts and language, Prof. Yomi Monday Aiyesimi, of the Department of Mathematics, Federal University of Technology, Minna, has said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The don emphasised this on Thursday, September 16, 2021 when he delivered the 90th Inaugural Lecture of the institution held at the University Auditorium, Main Campus, Gidan kwano, Minna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the lecture titled, &#8220;Applied Mathematics: The Reality, Validity and Contemporariness of Mathematical Modeling to Real Life Problems,&#8221; the Professor of Applied Mathematics pointed out that the process involves a wide variety of real life problems in the natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, physics among others, which can all be modeled into mathematically solvable problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that the results obtained must necessarily conform to natural laws and real life observation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to him, it is commonplace for physicists, engineers, statisticians, operation research analysts and economists to apply extensively the use of mathematical modeling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Photos by Elijah Yisa.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aliyu Jidda Ibrahim.
