DR SHAFi’i DONATES BOOKS TO FUTMINNA.

Dr. Shafi’i Muhammad Abdulhamid, a lecturer in the Department of Cyber Security Science, Federal University of Technology, Minna who is currently on a leave of absence to participate in the University of Doha Declaration for Cyber Security, Qatar has donated over 14 volumes of textbooks on various aspects of Cyber Security such as Cryptography, Malware analysis among others to the University.

Speaking at the presentation of the books to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Bala,fsssn recently in his office, the donor said the gesture was to facilitate teaching, research and learning in the University.

Dr. Shafi’i also expressed his passion for the development of the Department of Cyber Security Science while acknowledging the positive impact FUTMinna is playing in his career.

Receiving the donation, the Vice-Chancellor commended the donor for the kind gesture and charged other staff of the University to contribute towards accelerating the institution’s attainment of a world class status.

Speaking earlier, the Head of Department, Cyber Security Science, Dr. Ismaila Idris, expressed the department’s appreciation to Dr. Shafi’i for the donation and stressed the importance of the books to the department especially as it gears up for next accreditation exercise.

The Dean, School of Information and Communication Technology (SICT), Prof. Nicholas Iwokwagh and other staff of the University witnessed the presentation.
