The Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Prof. Abdullahi Bala, FSSSN, has condoled Kontagora Emirate over the passing away of Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, His Royal Highness Alhaji Saidu Umar Namaska, CON.
Prof. Bala condoled and commiserated with the family of the late Emir and the people of Kontagora Emirate during a condolence visit to the Madakin Kontagora, Alh. Aminu Ahmed on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at his residence, Kontagora.
“The demise of the monarch has left a huge vacuum and a numbing sense of emptiness but we are consoled by the fact that he left a proud legacy and lived an exemplary life of honesty, dedication and service to humanity. His reign as Emir experienced unprecedented peace and development in the Emirate”, Vice-Chancellor said.
He prayed Almighty God’s forgiveness for the deceased, comfort for the royal family and the people of the Emirate as well as the strength to bear the great loss.
In his response on behalf of the royal family and the emirate, the Madakin Kontagora appreciated and thanked the Vice-Chancellor and his entourage for the condolence visit and prayed for journey mercies back to their destination.
Thereafter, the Director Physical Planning and Development Unit, Arc. Idris Alhassan led a prayer session for the repose of the soul of the deceased.
In the Vice-Chancellor’s entourage were the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta; the Registrar, Mr. Amos Nmadu Kolo; the University Librarian, Dr. Katamba Abubakar Saka; the Director of Works, Dr. Muhammed Wuna and the Head, Department of Statistics, Dr. Usman Abubakar.
