The Bursar Mrs. Hadiza Goje FCNA, FCTI and The entire staff of the Bursary Department, Federal University of Technology, Minna, have been commended for bringing lots of innovations to the Bursary Department and the University in general.
The commendation was made by the Vice- Chancellor, Federal University of Technology, Minna Prof. Abdullahi Bala, FSSSN during the unveiling ceremony of the Bursary Department Library and the Flag – off of the in-house training of the Bursary and Audit Departments held today Thursday 23rd September, 2021 at the Senate Building

The Vice – Chancellor, pointed that “it is indeed a pleasing surprise to the university as this is the first time the Bursary is having a library”.
Professor Bala Who was in a joyful mood, eulogised the former Bursar Mr.Mufutau Alabi Bello for donating books worth thousands of naira to the bursary department. He Went further to advise that it is important that staff continue to upgrade themselves with happenings in the financial sector.
He highlighted that in the past, the University use to have book donations from Banks and other financial institutions which he usually refers to the University Library. He then called on the University Librarian to also capture the Bursary Library in their purchases. He equally encouraged the Bursary staff to always borrow books, read and return them.
During her opening remark, the Bursar, Mrs. Hadiza Goje FCNA, FCTI, opined that readers are leaders and the essence of the library is for the Bursary Staff to be reading. She also commended Mr. Mufutau Alabi Bello for the book donation to the Bursary library.
The highlight of the occasion was the first borrowing of book done by the Vice -Chancellor, where a book titled ” The Financial Fraud in Nigeria: The banking perspective was lent out to him.
Other events that unfolded included the in house training of the Bursary and Audit staff among other activities.
