As a step towards bringing into limelight the provisions of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Federal University of Technology Minna and TASJ Concept Investment Limited, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Abdullahi Bala fsssn has commissioned an all year round Farm project with a view to enhancing productivity. Thus, complementing the Federal Government mandate of ensuring food security for the Nation.
The project was officially flagged off on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at the Farm site, kilometer I. Bida Road, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano.
The project is geared towards promoting Research and Community Development including the Students Industrial Training and Practical Experience. It would boost the Internally Generated Revenue(IGR) drive of the University, beneficial to the Company,, immediate host communities and the Country at large.
It may be recalled that the University and the Company signed MoU in 2019 with sole interest of engaging in Commercial Agriculture targeting 3,000 hecters of land provided by the University but suffered delay due to some security challenges.
