Several studies on climate change have revealed that it has negative effect on food security in Nigeria.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta stated this while declaring open the, 2nd International Conference of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology.
The programme with theme,Climate-Smart Agriculture in the Post Covid Era: A Gate Way to Food Security in Africa, was Organised by the School of Agric and Agricultural Technology (SAAT) Federal University of Technology, Minna.
Held on 12 -13 December, 2022 at Caverton Lecture Theatre ,Main Campus.
Prof. Kuta said the theme,was apt and timely.
” It is my wish to increase the scientific sections of the conference lead and the deliberations be channelled towards food security in Nigeria,” the Vice-Chancellor maintained.
