FUTMSS TRIUMPHS AT KNOWLEDGE SHARING WORKSHOP

Students from the Federal University of Technology, Minna Model Secondary School (FUTMSS) excelled at the 3rd Knowledge Sharing Workshop, organized by FUT, Minna in collaboration with the University of Abuja’s Higher Education Partnerships in Sub-Saharan Africa (HEP-SSA) initiative for 2022/24.
The FUTMSS team won the competition, securing the trophy, a cash reward, and scholarships for studying mechanical engineering.
The event featured a debate competition for invited female secondary school students on the topic, “Mechanical Engineering is not a gender (female) friendly profession.” FUTMSS representatives Rebecca Sokodansa Usman (SS 1) and Ebunoluwa A. Adejumo (SS 2) opposed the motion and outperformed three other competing schools.
Held on July 4, 2024, at the SICT Lecture Hall (School of Information and Communication Technology), FUT, Minna, Main Campus, the event was chaired by Engr. Isaac Dangana N. T. Doko.
The school management board, led by it’s Chairman, Prof. Emmanuel Raymond, along with Principal, Alh. Alhmadu Ibrahim, Vice Principals, and other staff members, welcomed the victorious students. The students were accompanied by Mrs. Ako-Amadi Eucharia and Mrs. Adejumo, under the supervision of HOD Languages, Mrs. Akin-Ige Hannah.
