The Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology Minna (FUTMINNA), Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, has been celebrated for his exceptional contributions to the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) with the SIWES Champion Award.
This award, recognizing his unwavering support for SIWES activities at the University, was conferred during the 4th Quarter SIWES Directors/Coordinators meeting held at the Federal College of Education, Kontagora, on Thursday, December 5, 2024.
The Area Manager of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Minna Area Office, Engr. Dr. Abdulwahab Uhuami, presented the award, commending Prof. Kuta for his commitment to excellence in SIWES administration. He highlighted the Vice-Chancellor’s role in empowering the University’s SIWES unit to achieve remarkable success both within and beyond the institution.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the University’s Industrial Liaison Officer and SIWES Coordinator, Prof. Ezekiel Salawu Yisa, expressed gratitude to SIWES for the recognition. He formally presented the award to Prof. Kuta on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the Africa Centre of Excellence for Mycotoxin and Food Safety (ACEMFS), Federal University of Technology Minna, Main Campus.
