FUTMINNA UNVEILS INFINITY ROUNDABOUT, A SYMBOL OF MODERNITY, IDENTITY

This iconic quote resonates with the vision of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Faruk Adamu Kuta, as he commissioned the newly redesigned roundabout at the Main Campus of the Federal University of Technology, Minna now officially named the Infinity Roundabout.

The unveiling ceremony, held on Wednesday, 30th July 2025, marked a significant step in the University’s commitment to creating a modern, inspiring, and welcoming environment. Speaking at the event, Prof. Kuta emphasized that the Infinity Roundabout represents FUT, Minna’s evolving identity and progressive outlook.

Designed by the University’s Department of Architecture, the structure was conceived as an instantly recognizable landmark one that visually communicates the spirit and innovation of FUT, Minna upon arrival at the main gate.

“The open design of the fountain structure was intentionally crafted using durable metal to allow airflow, ensuring stability even in strong wind conditions,” the Vice-Chancellor explained. “Atop the structure rests the university logo, proudly symbolizing the institution’s identity.”

Prof. Kuta expressed deep pride in the project, describing it as a vision nurtured from inception. He noted that the transformation of the landscape from the entrance gate to the roundabout now tells a consistent story of beauty, purpose, and progress.

“We officially take over and commission this iconic structure to the glory of God and the benefit of humanity,” he declared.

The Infinity Roundabout constructed by Progressive Global Construction Associates Limited now stands not just as a visual centerpiece but as a lasting symbol of FUT, Minna’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and architectural expression in the higher education space.
