Prof. Obafemi said this much on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 while speaking during an interview at institution’s Campus Radio Search FM 92.3, monitored by Campus News where he described members of both bodies as “vibrant “ and “wonderful” based on the interactive sessions the Council held with them earlier.

He noted that the University has credible and innovative programmes with good facilities and further opined that no matter how good the academics of an institution are, they cannot succeed without adequate facilities.
stressing the need to provide more.

On the challenges facing the University, the new Chairman of the institution’s apex decision making body identified the dearth of hostel accommodation as the most obvious, adding that the available hostels can accommodate not more than 10 percent of the students.

He expressed his determination to make the University, more secured, improve on the library and make students more comfortable in a clement learning environment.

Prof. Obafemi pledged the unanimity of the Council to move the University forward.
