The newly-elected executive members of the Federal University of Technology, Minna Staff Cooperative Multipurpose Society (SCMS), led by the President, Mall. Isah Abubakar have paid a courtesy visit to the Management of the University.
Speaking at the brief meeting on Monday September 13, 2021, at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Abdullahi Bala FSSSN, while congratulating the executives for the keenly contested and fair election expressed hope that it would be a better deal for the members and an avenue for turn around in the affairs of the cooperative society.
The Vice-Chancellor further advised the executive members of the society to shun every act of corruption, nepotism and favouritism and attend to every member’s request based on merit.
He, however, charged them to re-strategise on the way forward that will foster unity among members of the society.
Prof. Bala assured the executives of every support needed to succeed.
Earlier, the President of the Society, Mall. Isah Abubakar appreciated the Management of the University for the role played to ensure a free and fair election through electronic voting. He assured the Management of the continuous use of E-Voting
Mall. Abubakar further sought the Vice-Chancellor’s support and blessings in discharging their duties
Other members of the executives present were the Secretary, Mall. Ndagi Yahaya ; the Treasurer, Mr. Edward Stephen and the Business Secretary, Mr. Bamidele Adedayo.
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta; Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Emmanuel Emeka Udensi fnip; representative of the Registrar, Mrs A. S .D Usman; representative of the Bursar, Mrs. Hassanah Abdulkadir and representative of the University Librarian, Dr. Abubakar Mohammed Bitagi were at the meeting.
