The Information and Technology Services (ITS) of Federal University of Technology, Minna has organized a two day training programme for Postgraduate Coordinators and Examination Officers from all Academic Departments of the University on the effective use and application of its newly launched contingent version III of the stand – alone E-result software, designed to address challenges faced in the process of students result computation and scrutiny as well as ensuring efficiency in service delivery .
Declaring the training open on Wednessday, December 8, 2021, at the NITDA Hub, Main Campus, Gidan Kwano, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Abdullahi Bala fsssn, said that the University attaches great importance to result management adding that, it is the must important aspect of its responsibilities.
Prof. Bala Who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof. Emanuel E. Udensi called on the organizers to ensure diligence in carrying out the training and enjoined the participants to take judicious advantage of the training as poor result management always leads to computation errors and undue degrading of a student which may in return lead to legal isssues against the University.
The Vice-Chancellor further applauded ITS for organizing the training.
Speaking earlier, the Director, ITS, Prof. Adamu Mohammed disclosed that the software is an updated packege of the old versions currently in use stressing that, a user manual has been developed to ease it’s applications.
Prof. Mohammed further thanked the Management for its supports in the actualization of the training
It may be recalled that following the official flagged off of the software on October 18, 2021, the Vice – Chancellor approved the in house training.
