The 14th Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology, Minna, held its inaugural meeting on Friday, August 16, 2024, at the Senate Chamber, Main Campus.
Presiding over the 154th (Inaugural) meeting was the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Dr. Mohammed Kudu, Santuraki Nupe.
Prior to the official meeting, the Council engaged in interactive sessions on Thursday, August 15, 2024, with the University Management and the University-based unions, including ASUU, SSANU, NAAT, and NASU.
Additionally, before commencing the inaugural meeting, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, led the Council on an inspection tour of the University ‘s facilities. The team visited key sites like the Africa Centre of Excellence for Mycotoxin and Food Safety (ACEMFS), the School of Life Sciences (SLS), lecture theatres, and hostels.
The Council comprises distinguished members, including Engr. Prof. Abdullahi Mohammed, Prof. Uno E. Uno, Pastor Timothy Ademola, Hon. Ishaku Tanko Yamawo, Mrs. Aisha Aliyu, Mr. Otunba J. Ogundeko, Mrs. Asta H. Ndajiwo, Alh. Abubakar I. Kimpa, and Profs: Adamu Y. Kabiru, Alenoghena Caroline O., Peter A. Idah, R.O. Ojutiku, Mohammed Saidu, and Haruna Ibrahim. The Acting Registrar/Secretary to Council is Mrs. A. S. A. Ndayako
